Nvidia launches DLSS 5 in NBA 2K27, coming to RTX 40-series

Nvidia has officially rolled out DLSS 5, its next-gen graphics upscaling tech, but it only works in NBA 2K27 for now and is limited to players with new RTX 50-series graphics cards. Nvidia says support for last year's RTX 40-series cards is on the way, but gave no firm date. Early testers report striking visual improvements but also note a heavy performance hit if you don’t have top-tier hardware.

Why it mattersIf you’re eyeing the latest in AI-driven graphics tech, you’ll need the newest Nvidia card—or keep waiting. These upgrades change how games look and feel, but right now, most gamers can't use them.
