Privacy policy

We collect an email address if you ask for the newsletter. If you don’t, we collect nothing about you at all. This page says so in more detail.

If you just read the site

We set no cookies, run no analytics, and embed no third-party trackers, advertising pixels or social widgets. We do not build a profile of you, and there is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing running.

Our servers keep ordinary web logs — the request, the time, and the IP address it came from — because a server that logs nothing cannot be debugged or defended against abuse. These are not linked to any identity, are not used for analytics, and are discarded on a rolling basis.

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We store:

That is the whole record. No name, no company, no location, no inferred interests.

We use double opt-in: you receive one email asking you to confirm, and if you never click it we never email you again. Confirming is the consent on which we rely to send you the newsletter.

Who else sees it

Email delivery is handled by Resend, who process your address on our behalf in order to deliver the mail. Our hosting and database providers store the data at rest. We do not sell, rent, share or trade your address with anyone, and we do not use it for anything except the newsletter you asked for.

Getting out, and getting a copy

Every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately and needs no reply from us. Unsubscribing keeps your address on a suppression record so we do not accidentally mail you again.

If you would rather be erased entirely, or want a copy of what we hold, or think something we hold is wrong, email support@techskimm.com and we will do it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA; we apply them to everyone rather than checking your address first. We do not charge for any of it and we will not ask why.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has subscribed, tell us and we will remove the record.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will change the date at the top and say so in the newsletter. We will not start collecting something new and quietly amend this page.
