Disclaimer

Every story here was written by a machine from other people’s reporting. That is useful for keeping up. It is not a substitute for reading the sources, and it is not advice.

The summaries are AI-generated

A language model writes each summary from the reporting of several publications. Automated checks reject summaries that copy source text, overstate confidence, or drift in tone, and a story needs corroboration from more than one outlet before it is published at all. None of that makes a summary true. Models misread, compress away the qualification that mattered, and state uncertain things plainly.

The source list on every story is not decoration. If a story matters to you, read the originals.

We are not the reporter

We employ no journalists and break no news. If the underlying reporting is wrong, our summary of it will be confidently wrong too. Accuracy here is inherited, not verified.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, security or any other professional advice. Coverage of a company, a funding round, a product or a vulnerability is not a recommendation to buy, sell, install, patch or ignore anything. Talk to someone qualified, and read primary sources.

Security and vulnerability stories

Security coverage moves fast and early reports are often revised. Do not treat a summary here as an assessment of your own exposure, and follow the vendor advisory rather than our sixty words about it.

Timeliness

Stories reflect what was reported when we saw it. We do not systematically revisit a story as it develops, so an older story may have been overtaken. Timestamps are shown for exactly this reason.

No endorsement

Publications we summarise, and companies we cover, are neither affiliated with nor endorsers of this site. Their names and marks are used to identify them.

Tell us when we’re wrong

Corrections go to support@techskimm.com and are welcome. A wrong summary is a bug, and how this works explains the checks that were supposed to catch it.
