Apple unveils foldable iPhone and new CEO Wednesday
Apple plans to announce its first foldable iPhone at an event this Wednesday, September 9, at 10 a.m. Pacific. The company is also expected to show the iPhone 18 Pro line, new Apple Watches, and updated AirPods. It’s the first launch event with John Ternus as CEO, replacing Tim Cook, who’ll stay on as Executive Chair. Ternus told staff the upcoming launch will be “phenomenal.”

Nvidia agrees to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9 billion

Amazon cargo plane crash at Miami airport kills at least five
An Amazon-branded Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by 21 Air overran the runway while landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday, crashing into vehicles and catching fire. Authorities confirmed at least five people were killed. Several others were injured, including three critically. The flight originated in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It remains unclear whether those killed were onboard or in struck vehicles. Flights at the airport were disrupted as emergency crews responded.
