AI changes how coding tools and brands get chosen
AI assistants are now choosing developer tools, not people. Armature analyzed 17,000 coding sessions and found decades of brand reputation mean less to AI agents, which either default to familiar names or ignore new features. At the same time, Amazon revealed its Alexa shoppers buy more after seeing paid prompts—showing that getting picked, paid or not, increasingly means being visible to AIs, not just humans.
